Poetry From Around The World

Time and Space

All this time I am wondering if I exist in another time...
Are you in existence too?
All this time I kept on imagining
what would be my life in another time...
Am I with you?

All this time I kept my hopes
that though Science has its ways about the future...
Will you be there?
In the vast universe that God has shared to mankind...
Will my love for you co-exist and travel in time?

Copernicus the Father of Modern Astronomy
has described our universe in his mind...
Will you be thinking of me out there?

As the Ptolemaic theory has presented
that our space is bound by a spherical envelope
beyond which there was nothing...
Have you been holding me tight in the coldness of space?

Giordano Bruno was tried before the Inquisition,
condemned and burned at the stake for blasphemy
that there are other worlds out there...
Am I protected by your love in the darkness of space?

One of the most energetic explosive events
known as the supernova
which occurs at the ends of the star's life time...
Will you still have your undying love for me beyond space?

In some exploding star,
a pulsar is seen and emits lights like a lighthouse...
Does your love for me radiate in time and space?

With all the facts that have evolved in my mind
will there be hope that I can see
my life with you in time

When Einstein laid the theory of special relativity ,
it gave us the possibility to travel in TIME ...
Are you still waiting for me there?

As I sit in front of my computer, clicking my mouse,
Time is traveling with me ...
Will you still be there for me in time?

I could not imagine myself if I could jump into time
or let myself be beamed into your world...
Can I see you then, with all the smiles ?

What more can I think of if I could see my life
with you in an another dimension....
My love for you will still be there through Space and time...

Thus I would still find myself in your arms
staring in the universe with beaming eyes
to every comet that passes by,
and wishing on every star that falls in the sky....

For I cannot imagine my life without you
as I travel my way in space and time...

My Heart

My heart my heart
so open and free
to see whats inside of me.

my heart my heart
a tangled thing is she
wrapped around my family.

my heart my heart
filled to capacity
but wait,
there's room for thee.

my heart my heart
beats so readily
a song of joy
and peace
for all humanity.

my heart my heart
so caring is she
for you,
and all humanity.

But, no...

English translation, this poem
was originally published in French

I love you.
I want to say
these little words.
I love you.
But,
why do I refuse
to express myself?

A passed moment,
A clear moment,
I remember
And...
But, no
You have gone.
There is no one
for me,
no one else.
You made a mistake,
tried to destroy me.
But, no...
My heart is breaking
because of you.
I suffer
because of you.

Like a devil,
you hide,
wait like a snake.
You invite me,
seduce me,
steal from me.
You smile.
You lie.
You hide.
And...
But, no...
I renounce you.
Go,
Devil!
Get out of here!

So,
I come back home.
I cry no more.
you have left.
Goodbye.
I don't love you.

Nature's Beauty

By the waking sun, tears fall.
Comforted, by caressing warmth.
Even though angers can hide it,
rays of hope still show.

The peacefulness of a mountain,
floating under ocean blue.
While freedom drifts, as if reaching;
to touch the truth.

A golden smile is given,
as the day falls asleep.
To a twinkle of a wish,
a dream, with a desire to be.

Beautiful scenes are created,
by the gentleness of natures hands.
Though none can compare to the scene created,
of a child, newborn...
in one's hands.

Visions

In the shadows of the sun
And the icy depths of solitude
Lay memories unscathed
And dreams forgotten
Twisting and turning
Seeking and yearning
For the escape vanquished
By ceaseless tears
And abolished pathways
Of fallacious erudition
Sightless phantasms
Guileless chasms
Between a nation's ears
And the world's fingertips

Other Green Worlds

Do other green worlds roam
Around some far-off sun
That men, of sorts, call home?
Do other green worlds roam
Where oceans surge and foam
And thinking has begun?
Do other green worlds roam
Around some far-off sun?

To Live

To live is to be afraid and to continue even though
you are afraid.
It is to laugh when you feel like laughing and to cry
when you want to cry.
It is to look back at the person you were in the past
and smile at how little you knew.
To live is to constantly re-define your boundaries, to
continue to raise the bar.
To do something you were once gravely in fear of and
feel the exhilaration of overcoming that fear for the
first time.
To live is to have every reason to hate and yet to
love.
It is to be happy because you are not because you
should be.
To live means to look back on every mistake you've
every made and not want to change a thing.
To look on the world with the curiosity of a child and
the wisdom of and old man.
To believe in dreams, magic, fairy tales.
To know that you are in exactly the right place at
exactly the right time.
To live is to be up at dawn because you can't stop
writing. It is to believe in possibility.
To know that nothing is beyond your reach.
To live is to take the hard route.
To get up when it's easier to stay down.
To decide not to settle.
To live is to suffer the consequences of your actions,
to make mistakes, to accept responsibility.
To live is to smile at someone who doesn't smile
first.
To laugh until you cry.
To disregard someone who tells you that you'll never
make it.
To live is to know yourself.
To discover what you value and stick by what you
believe.
To be idealistic.
To live by instinct.
To keep your promises.
To get up in the middle of the night to look at the
stars, or smell the rain, or embrace the sunrise.
To truly love yourself and trust that everything will
be okay.
This is what it means, to live.

Winter Is Here

The snow has fallen
and all of Autumn's leaves
are now under nature's
great white blanket.

The lakes are starting
to freeze and shortly
Ice Fishing shall begin;

The birds have flown south
and most of nature's creatures
have gone into hibernation.

The sweet aroma
of Christmas baking
will soon be upon us.

The hustle of shopping
has begun,
Winter is here.

Time

Time is like a new Spring flower
Once it has bloomed it will never bloom again

Time is like the Autumn leaves
Once they have fallen they will never fall again

Time is like a snowflake
Once it falls it just melts away

Time is like the changing of the seasons
They just go on and on

Time is like life
Once it passes it never comes back

Time is like love
After you've lost the feeling you never get it back quite the same

Time is like the death of a loved one
Once they have died they are gone forever

Time is like the pebbles on a shore
Once they are washed away they never return to the same place
